As Ninety continues to experience exceptional growth, we are looking to bring on an Engineering Lead who will lead multiple engineering teams and who will report to the Head of Engineering (Platform/Product).

As an Engineering Lead - ML, you will be at the forefront of driving our software development and delivery processes in our Machine Learning disciplines. This role demands a highly skilled generalist proficient in multiple programming languages and tech stacks within the ML ecosystem, with a strong focus on SaaS operations and building distributed systems. You will be responsible for leading a team of ML engineers, ensuring daily software delivery to production, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and performance.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Mentorship: Lead a team of software engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to drive their professional growth and productivity.
  • Technical Excellence: Oversee the design, development, and deployment of software solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices in coding, architecture, and security.
  • Daily Deliverables: Drive a culture of continuous delivery, ensuring that software is delivered to production on a daily basis.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve technical challenges related to distributed systems and SaaS operations, employing a proactive and innovative approach.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce robust testing and quality assurance processes to maintain the reliability and scalability of software systems.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and optimize the performance of applications and ML models, ensuring they meet SLAs and user expectations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to enhance team efficiency and software quality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a software engineer with a strong track record of delivering high-quality software.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages and tech stacks (e.g., Golang, C#, Python, JavaScript, AWS, Azure).
  • Experience in building and operating distributed systems and SaaS applications.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a results-driven mindset.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
